HYDERABAD: An elderly person hanged himself to death in Saroornagar mandal on Thursday evening leaving behind a suicide note stating that his last rites should be performed by a Telangana supporter.The deceased, V Rama Sharma (57), was a resident of Shakti Nagar in Jillelaguda gram panchayat of Saroornagar mandal.He was a native of Gotur village in Mahabubnagar district and came to the city seven years ago.Rama Sharma told his family members on Thursday that he would go to his brother's house at Sahara Estates but later changed his mind and remained in the house.Other members went to their relatives house at Vanasthalipuram.At around 5 p.m when Rama Sharma did not respond to his calls, his son Tejaswi, came to house and found the door locked from inside.With the help of neighbours, he forced open the door and found his father hanging from the ceiling fan.In a suicide note, purportedly written by the deceased, Rama Sharma stated that he does not want his final rites to be performed as per the family customs.“My last rites should be performed by a Telangana supporter,'' police said quoting the note.
