Kolkata: A major fire broke out on Monday night at a slipper manufacturing unit in Tiljala area, police said. However, there was no report of any casualty or injury.

15 fire tenders have been pressed into service to control the blaze, fire officials said, adding that the cause of the fire is yet to be known.
State Disaster Management Minister Javed Khan also reached the spot to monitor the operations.
