A 12-member team of
Congress led UDF government in Kerala would visit China to
study the "China model of development". Talking to reporters after a cabinet meeting here today,
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said Minister for Rural
Development K C Joseph would lead the team that would have
nine MLAs and two officials. The visit would be under the aegis of State Institute of
Parlimentary Affairs. MLAs in the team are Benny Behanan, Sunny Joseph, V D
Sateeshan (all Cong), A K Balan, C Raveendranath (both CPI-M)
T A Ahmed Kabeer, Abdul Rehaman Rendathani (both IUML),
Mullakara Ratnakaran (CPI) and Roshy Augustin (KC-M). This is the first phase of the visit to have an on the spot
Understanding of the development activities in China, he said.
