Medininagar (Jharkhand): Days after former BJP leader Babulal Marandi predicted that the NDA government would break up on its own, Jharkhand home minister Sudesh Mahto on Tuesday asserted there was no threat to the Arjun Munda government whatsoever.
''The group of six ministers are solidly behind the Munda government and there was no threat to the coalition,'' Mahto said.
The Jharkhand Jan Sangharsh Morcha, a local outfit headed by Anil Chourasia, merged with Mahto's All Jharkhand Students Union.
''We will continue to add people to strengthen our party, whose sole aim is to serve the people of Jharkhand,'' Mahto claimed.
The BJP-led coalition is surviving with the backing of the five Independent MLAs and one NCP MLA (all ministers).
Marandi, who had resigned from the BJP and Lok Sabha speeding up political activity over the week, has repeatedly said that a dead-head (the fragile Munda government) did not require any force as it could fall on its own.
