Jayalalithaa's canteens are a big hit in the state and is quite popular amongst the poor masses.
Chennai: After Amma canteens, water and salt, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa is all set to launch Amma pharmacies on Thursday.
The state government plans to launch 10 such pharmacies across Chennai and 90 in the rest of the state. These medical shops will sell medicines at a subsided rate to the general public.
The government has allotted Rs 20 crore for this project.
