BANGALORE: The High Court on Monday directed the prison authorities  to provide the Managing Director of ITASCA software company S V Srinivas, an accused along with Katta Subramanya Naidu family, in the multi-crore KIADB scam, with necessary treatment for his ailments but turned down his request to get admitted to a private hospital. A wheelchair bound Srinivas appeared before the court, along with Katta Jagadish Naidu. Srinivas, who was brought to the court in an ambulance, pleaded that he was suffering from blood pressure and despite repeated requests, the prison authorities had not provided him with the required medicines.Srinivas  told the court that his health was deteriorating and he needed immediate treatment and requested the court to allow him to get admitted in a private hospital. The court, turning down his request, told him that it was the prerogative of the court to decide about the treatment and adjourned the hearing to September 19. Katta Jagadish produced medical exemption certificate for his father who is currently lodged in Victoria Hospital’s Jail ward. Naidu has been admitted as an in-patient for treatment and hence could not attend the court, the plea said.
