KOLLAM: Promising foodies in the city a chance to taste mouth-watering dishes from as many as 30 countries, the International Food Festival, organised in connection with the maiden Kollam Fest, will get under at The Quilon Beach Hotel from Friday. The 10-day festival will serve around 70-odd dishes to its guests on a given day and will be open from 7 pm to 10 pm. Culinary expert of global acclaim, Augustine Nandilath, will lead a team of 35 chefs, who are gearing up for the fest. The team will prepare around 700 dishes from 30 countries during the fest. The chefs will also conduct cookery sessions, which will be open to the public, at 12 noon on all days, giving an opportunity to learn the international recipes. Mehandi and face painting, live bands and lucky draws have been arranged as part of the event.
