Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of minus 5.4 degrees Celsius, down from the previous night's minus 4.8 degrees Celsius.
It was the season's coldest night in the Kashmir valley on Thursday. Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of minus 5.6 degrees Celsius, down from the previous night's minus 4.8 degrees Celsius.
Kargil, also in Ladakh region, too recorded the season's low of minus 16.1 degrees Celsius compared to the previous night's minus 15.8 degrees Celsius.
Many water bodies, including the Dal Lake, were frozen due to the biting cold. Water in taps have also frozen along with a thin layer of frost on roads. ####
