BANGALORE: The Banasawadi police arrested 7 persons for allegedly trying to sell diamond and ruby stones illegally.A piece of diamond and ruby stones worth a few lakhs have been recovered from them.The accused have identified as Sundar Raj (41) of K R Pura, Mukthiyaar Pasha alias Basha (42) of Chikkaballapura, Sanjay Warnekar (38) and Ullas Raykar (29) from Davanagere, Ramana (40) of Andhra Pradesh, Uday (48) of Uttara Kannada and Murali (39) of Rama Murthy Nagar.According to the police, the arrested persons were trying to sell diamond and ruby stones at a parking zone opposite to Sukh Sagar hotel on Kammanahalli Main Road.On a tip off, the police swung into action and arrested them.When searched they were found in possession of the valuables without any valid documents.The diamond piece and 42 ruby stones of different colours and a gem tester equipment have been recovered from them.
