DMK chief M Karunanidhi doesn't want MDMK's Vaiko to be a part of the UPA.

Chennai: The Dravida Munnethra Kazhagam (DMK) chief M Karunanidhi said on Friday that his party would quit United Progressive Alliance (UPA) at the centre if Marumalarchi Dravida Munnethra Kazhagam (MDMK) continued to be in the coalition.

Karunanidhi said he did not want MDMK's Vaiko to be a part of UPA. "If Vaiko is there in the UPA, DMK will not be there," he said.

Karunanidhi said that he didn’t know whether Vaiko was in UPA or not.

"Vaiko has been attacking the UPA too," he said.

The Congress has also not openly said anything about Vaiko being in the UPA.

The DMK chief also said that he is open to the idea of forming a coalition government with the Congress in Tamil Nadu.

When asked if it would be healthy for the state, he replied, "Why not? Is it not healthy in Delhi?"

What's your reaction?
