Hyderabad Cops Stops Man For Drunk Driving Test. He Sped Away In His Car With Breathalyser, Later Arrested
The accused on June 27 pushed the police officer on duty and snatched the breathanalyser from him during a drunk driving test

A man who fled with an alcohol breathalyser from the police during a check against drunk driving in Hyderabad’s Bowenpally has been arrested. The police have also successfully recovered the machine.

On June 27, the Bowenpally Traffic Police were conducting drunk and drive check at New Bowenpally when they stopped a car.

The 27-year-old accused, identified as Kothaplli Sravan Kumar, pushed the police officer on duty and snatched the breathalyser forcibly from him. He then sped away in his car, according to Hyderabad North Zone DCP S Rashmi Perumal.

A case was registered in Cr no 409/2024 U/s 353, 356, 379 IPC at Bowenpally Police Station for the same.

The police advised the citizens to cooperate with police authorities during drunk and drive checking and other such initiatives taken up to ensure safer society for all.
