New Delhi: Announced in January last year, the Huawei Ascend P1 is now up for pre-order on Flipkart.com for Rs 12,490. The website lists the estimated release date as the 3rd week of August.
The phone runs Android 4.0 ICS, and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. When other phones in the same price band are coming with Android Jelly Bean, Huawei's decision to introduce over a year-old phone running Android ICS in India sounds a bit strange.
The phone has a 4.3-inch super AMOLED touchscreen, and 8 megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front camera. The screen is protected with Gorilla Glass.
It has an internal memory of 4GB, which is expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card. The phone has a 1800 mAh Li-Polymer battery.
