HYDERABAD: Life was thrown out of gear at several places across the state as heavy rain battered several districts in Telangana and Coastal Andhra regions apart from isolated rains in Rayalaseema in the past 24 hours.With southwest monsoon vigorous over Telangana and active over coastal Andhra, the Meteorological department predicted more rains for another 48 hours.The Met officials said that due to formation of an upper air circulation from Vidarbha to south Tamil Nadu via Telangana and south coastal region, heavy rain would occur in Telangana and in Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur districts of Coastal Andhra in the next 48 hours.Chintalapudi in West Godavari district received highest rainfall of 13 cm followed by Tadepalligudem with 11 cm and Chintapalli in Visakhapatnam district with 10 cm.Incessant rains also occurred at several places in Telangana including Kunavaram and Bhadrachalam in Khammam district which received 7 cm.The cont inuous downpour led to inundation of many residential areas including villages in Telangana and coastal Andhra regions.Road connectivity was cut off to several villages in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Guntur, Krishna, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari districts.Several colonies were flooded with rain water making life miserable for the denizens of Hyderabad due to incessant rains.
