The minister claims that he is being framed and wants an impartial enquiry.

Panjim: Goa Education Minister Antanasio Monseratte has been made a co-accused in the crime relating to alleged abuse of a German girl by his son Rohit Monseratte.

Monseratte said after meeting the Goa Chief Minister Digamber Kamat that the police were taking action against him.

“I am being framed. I want an impartial enquiry into the entire episode. My son is innocent. In a couple of days it will be revealed who is the real political mastermind behind this episode,” he said.

The incident follows after Aires Rodrigues, an activist from Goa started a crusade against Goa Education Minister Babush Monserrat.

Rodrigues was attacked with choppers following which he was immediately rushed to the Campal Clinic in Panjim.

An emergency operation was carried out by the doctors. Rodrigues had earlier come forward to support of a German woman who accused Education Minister Monserrat's son of sexually assaulting her daughter.

He had accused the police of sleeping over the matter since it involved a minister's son.

This is not the first time that Rodrigues has taken on Monserrat. He had earlier lodged an FIR against the minister for allegedly submitting a false affidavit to the election commission.
