BANGALORE: Prakruthi Creations, a nonprofit organisation is organising ‘Chaaya Vishishta’, a photo exhibition at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath from October 13 to 17.The organisation which works towards the promotion of art and the conservation of wildlife will exhibit photos by the 15 photo-artistes of the state who have been awarded ‘The Master’, of the Federation International de’la Arte Photographique of Luxembourg and ‘The Fellowship’ of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain.Of the 15 photoartistes, two photographers have received the award for pictorial and the other 13 for nature photography.Out of these, seven photo-artists have been given ‘The Master’ and 14 have been given ‘The Fellowship’.Karnataka, by far has received the highest number of distinctions in the field of photography. “Our State has many resources which our photographers have made use of. It is an honour to the people of our state to receive such prestigious awards,” said NA Perumal, who has received both ‘The Master’ and ‘The Fellowship’.Thirteen photographers are expected to display their pictures at the exhibition. “Due to practical reasons, we have not been able to acquire the pictures of the other two photo-artists,” expressed M N Jayakumar, a photographer who has received both the prestigious awards and whose pictures will also be on display.An interactive session is also being held on October 15, where senior photographers will share their experiences. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Suresh Kumar, Minister for Urban Development and M S Sathyu will be the Guest of Honour.
