KARIMNAGAR: Four passengers suffered minor injuries when an RTC Super Luxury bus overturned on the abandoned Nizamera bridge, near here, around 3.30 am on Saturday. The bus (AP 28Z 3973), belonging to the Mancherial depot, was on its way to Chennur in Adilabad district from Hyderabad with 46 passengers.
RTC deputy chief mechanical engineer Jhony Reddy said as the bus fell into a waterlogged pit in the middle of the bridge its axle hit the wall of the bridge resulting in the steering column breaking loose. It made the driver lose control of the vehicle. Passengers, who were jolted out of their sleep, pushed their way out by breaking the window panes. Four persons suffered minor injuries.
