HYDERABAD: The Rajendranagar police on Monday arrested four persons, who duped innocent people on the pretext of providing jobs overseas and collected money. The arrested include Kanaka VijayaKumar alias Vijaya Kumar Goud, Baliwada Prasanna Gowri alias Gowri, Baliwada Murali Krishna alias Murali, Kothur Chinna Narayana alias Thomas.
The victim Vemulapally Praveena, a resident of Bethampudi village in Guntur district lodged a complaint with the Rajendranagar police alleging that she paid money after seeing an advertisement published in Telugu daily a few days back about the requirement of maid servants and cooks in Singapore. When the complainant responded for the advertisement, she was asked to come to Hyderabad along with her passport and Rs 3,000. On October 21 she came to the city and met the people concerned at Rajendranagar. They took her passport and also Rs 3,000 saying that they have to apply for visa.
