Mumbai: A fire broke out in Cheetah Camp slums at suburban Trombay on Tuesday night, fire officials said.
Eight fire engines and four tankers have been rushed to the spot, they added.
No casualties have been reported so far. The fire was brought under control after two hours.
The cause of the fire was not known immediately. But the fire reportedly consumed nearly 250 homes.
