Fever cases going up

KOCHI: The number of fever cases is on the rise in Ernakulam district. On Friday 602 fever cases were reported. Three rat fever cases have been confirmed each in Cheranalloor, Kochi Corporation area and Kanjur respectively. Three suspected rat fever cases have been reported in Vadavucode, Kochi Corporation and Tripunithura. Two are suspected to suffer from dengue, one in Paravur and the other in Kunnukara.One Hepatitis A case has been confirmed in Vadavucode and four suspected cases have been reported - two in Kalamassery and one each in Kochi Corporation area and Thirumarady, according to the DMO. Sixty-nine cases of diarrhoea have also been reported.
