Eight new offices for Metro water

CHENNAI: Eight new area offices will be established following the expansion of of Chennai Corporation, according to Metro Water sources.The offices at Thiruvottiyur, Manali, Madhavaram, Ambattur, Valasaravakkam, Alandur, Perungudi and Sholinganallur will function as headquarters for operation and maintenance activities, the sources added.These offices will be positioned in the same building where corporation zonal offices are functioning and will have four superintending engineer level officers to monitor activities. Metro water has posted eight executive engineers in each zones for redressal of public complaints in the newly added areas.  The helpline number 45674567 of Metro water head office will continue to be a common number for entire expanded city.
