THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A detailed discussion on the 10-point development plan mooted by Sam Pitroda, who was appointed as mentor for Kerala development, will be held on Monday. The event will be presided over by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. Pitroda, who is adviser to Prime Minister and chairman, National Knowledge  Commission, will also attend the meet. The ten-point development initiatives as per Sam Pitroda would play a key role in the field of development in the next three years. Sam Pitroda will present a detailed project report and guidelines pertaining to the ten-point initiatives. During his initial round of discussions held here on January 25, it was decided that a detailed project report would be prepared in 90 days’ time. The ten-point development programme envisages development of coastal waterway, high-speed rail corridor, waste disposal project, modernisation of traditional industrial sectors, implementation of e-governance for transparency in administration, setting up of a knowledge city, modernisation of vocational education and transforming Kerala into the capital of Ayurveda in the world. Those who will attend the meeting include R Gopalakrishnan, member secretary, National Innovation Council. Various ministers, Planning Board members, Darshan Shankar, Institute of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine, and K T Chacko, director, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
