New Delhi: A Delhi court on Wednesday acquitted Irom Sharmila, who has been on a 15-year-long hunger strike to press for the repeal of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, from charges of attempt to suicide.
Metropolitan Magistrate Harvinder Singh acquitted Sharmila in the case registered in 2006.
