New Delhi: Constructing a house in Delhi has become more expensive after the Delhi government approved the increase in circle rates of properties from 22 to 200 per cent. The government has increased the circle rates in residential areas.
According to the new announcement, A category colonies like Defence Colony, Greater Kailash, Gulmohar Park, Panchsheel Enclave, Anand Lok, Green Park, Hauz Khas and Nehru Place have a new circle rate which has been increased from Rs 2,15,000 to Rs 6,45,000 per sq metre. For B category colonies as Andrews Ganj, Kalkaji, Munirka Vihar and Nehru Enclave the rate has been increased to Rs 2,04,600 per sq metre from Rs 1,36,400. The rate of C category colonies has been increased from Rs 1,09,200 to Rs 1,33,224.
The rate of D category colonies has been increased from Rs 1,06,348 to 87,200 Rs. The new rate of E category colonies will now be Rs 58,365. The earlier rate was Rs 47,840. For the F category colonies the new rate is Rs 47,140 from the earlier Rs 38,640. The G category colonies rate is now Rs 38,442 from the earlier 31,510. The new rate of H category colonies will be Rs 19,361. It was Rs 15,870.
The rates had been increased in 2011 too by the Delhi government. The increase will burden the common man while the government expects that the rate hike will bring down the use of black money in the purchase of property.
However, the new rates will be notified in the next two-three days.
