Cut electricity supply to malls after 10 pm: Delhi L-G orders to save power
As per the orders, government establishments including Delhi Secretariat, government offices and colleges have to restrain their AC usage.

New Delhi: As Delhi braves frequent power cuts, Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung on Sunday directed power department to cut power supply to malls after 10 pm.

As per the new orders from L-G, government establishments including Delhi Secretariat, government offices, universities and colleges have to keep their air conditioners switched off between 3:30 to 4:30 pm to conserve power.

Also, the high mast halogen lamps will be switched off during night hours to preserve power. However, these orders are not applicable for emergency services and critical institutions such as hospitals etc.

Jung reviewed power situation in the state in a meeting with Delhi Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary (Power), senior officers of Delhi Transco Limited and Chief Executive Officers of all DISCOMs.
