Cooking up a new form of protest

PUDUCHERRY: Employees of Puducherry Women’s Commission protested non-payment of salaries for nearly eight months by staging a rice-gruel preparation in front of their office at Natesan Nagar on Wednesday. There are 37 employees working on daily wages in the office and due to financial constraints their dues had gone unpaid.
