BANGALORE: The Kodihalli police of Ramnagaram district have arrested four persons, including a former taluk panchayat chairman, for allegedly hatching a plot to eliminate Kanakapura MLA D K Suresh, brother of Congress leader D K Shivakumar. Police seized a pistol from the arrested persons.
The accused have been identified as Bala Narasimhegowda, former chairman of Herindyapanahalli taluk panchayat and JD(S) leader, Kale Gowda, Chikkaraju and Lakshman, a resident of Madivala of Bangalore. Chikkaraju and Lakshman have been remanded in police custody for two days, while the other two have been sent to judicial custody.D K Shivakumar had filed a complaint against the accused in Kodihalli police station a month ago, alleging that Bala Narasimhegowda had hatched a plot to finish his brother Suresh, who is also a Congress leader in the region.
