KOCHI: One of the victims, who was reported to have suffered serious injuries while trying to escape from the flight on Monday morning, is stated to be safe.Veerankutty Syed Mohammed, 47, Thekkinkadu house, Thannikode, Mathur, Palakkad, was admitted to Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly, where he will be operated upon on Tuesday.“At 3.50 am, the plane landed with a huge noise at the Nedumbassery airport. I woke up hearing the cries and commotion of the passengers. This was when I jumped out of the emergency door,” he said. Muhammed is receiving critical care for his injuries on his right ankle and on his left ribs. He was here on a month-long visit to see his three-month-old granddaughter. Now he needs bed-rest for one-and-a-half months, family sources said. Muhammed, who works at Jubail in Saudi travelled to Bahrain via bus. He boarded the flight from there.
