CM thanked for Dheeran Memorial

CHENNAI: Kongu Nanbargal Sangam (KNS) has thanked the Chief Minister for announcing a memorial for freedom fighter Dheeran Chinnamalai at Sankagiri fort. In a statement here, president of KNS, Barani K Balasubramani said, “We thank her for honouring the great patriot and freedom fighter. The Kongu community will never forget her.” He said the Chief Minister had all along been honouring patriots, freedom fighters and those who rendered yeoman service to the people.PMK Welcomes MovePMK founder leader Dr S Ramadoss on Thursday welcomed the announcement  and said that not setting up a memorial for the freedom fighter had been a grievance, which had now been redressed, adding “There is no doubt that the people of Tamil Nadu will welcome this.”
