Voting in Assam will take place on April 4 and 11 while counting of results is on May 19 along with West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry. The state has 126 Assembly constituencies.
In another major announcement on Thursday, the board issued a clarification on remedial measures which are likely to be taken before evaluation of the Class XII mathematics examination paper after several students claimed that the it was 'tricky' and 'tough'.
The CBSE said that feedback received from various stakeholders like students, subject teachers and examiners would be put before the committee of subject experts.
Earlier, the CBSE on Wednesday termed as "baseless" reports about question paper leak of Class XII Mathematics examination.
A HRD Ministry statement referred to news reports that the class XII Mathematics question paper in Ranchi and Dhanabad was available on WhatsApp on Sunday night and that touts were selling 51 questions and answers near examination centres on Sunday.
"CBSE would like to assert that the reports are baseless. There has been no such leakage of question paper of any kind but only two questions matched with only one question paper set. But that is a co-incidence as these two questions are also from the NCERT textbook," the statement said.
