CAT 2017 Examination will be conducted on November 26, 2017, by Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIML), for admissions in the prestigious 19 IIMs of India and 150 other B-Schools and management institutes across. There are over 4000 management seats in IIMs. IIM Lucknow will be holding the Common Admission Test (CAT) after seven years and Professor Neeraj Dwivedi is the convener of CAT 2017. The CAT 2017 Exam will be conducted in two sessions. The registration for CAT 2017 will be open from August 9th 2017 till September 20th 2017. All IIMs of the country will be releasing the CAT 2017 notification in Newspapers and other mediums across the country tomorrow i.e. on July 30th 2017, Sunday.
IIM – Lucknow will hold CAT 2017 in 140 cities across Indian and candidates will be given a choice to select four cities in order of preference from these 140. CAT 2017 exam will have both Multiple Choice Questions as well as Direct Answer Questions and will comprise of three sections viz:
1. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
2. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
3. Quantitative Ability
The duration of CAT 2017 is 180 minutes and candidates will be allowed to attempt each in 60 minutes span and will not be able to toggle from one section to another. There are no changes in the format or other rules this year.
The details on the payment of fee will be uploaded later on the website. From October 18th 2017, the candidates will be able to download their Admit Cards. The help candidates understand the format and other guidelines, IIM-Lucknow will upload tutorials around the same on the official website of Common Admission Test by October 18th 2017.
