Builder shot at in Mangalore, escapes unhurt

MANGALORE: In another shooting incident in Mangalore, two motorcycleborne youth fired at a builder's car before escaping under the cover of darkness in Kadri Park on Thursday evening.Eyewitnesses told police that Suresh Bhandary of Prithvi builders, after completing his routine walk in the park, was returning to his car parked near a chaat stall. Two motorcycle-borne youth fired at him and the bullet pierced through the front windshield on the right side of the car.Senior police officials, who rushed to the spot, told Express that the builder was visibly shaken after the shooting incident.Bhandary revealed to police about receiving an extortion call about 18 months ago. The police cordoned off the area.
