Bombay Dreams: Sush meets bravehearts
Bombay Dreams: Sush meets bravehearts
The Republic Day meant Bombay Dreams for three brave quake survivors from Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir. CNN-IBN's Anuradha Sen Gupta brought them to Mumbai to spend some memorable moments on Indian Navy's largest ship, INS Viraat, and with Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen. They shared their dreams and aspirations with her on a day they will cherish for life.

Anuradha: Welcome to a rather unusual celebration of the 57th Republic Day anniversary on CNN-IBN. I'm at the Mumbai Airport to pick up some very special guests. Three different people linked together by the fact that they have all stared at death in the face and they have all triumphed.

Somaya wanted to see the sea and a ship in Bombay, so we've decided to make her dream come true. We are going to show her a ship, perhaps a little bigger than she had imagined. It's going to be the Indian Navy's biggest ship, the INS Viraat.

Well, if you are in Bombay, what is the point if you cannot meet your favourite filmstar? So, what are we going to do next? We are going to meet Sushmita Sen.

Sush: What's the meaning of your name, Somaya?

Somaya: I don't know.

Sush: Have you never asked?

Sush to Jharna: And you name?

Jharna: Jharna means Waterfall

Sush: Do you know that Jharna is also a Bengali name? But we don't call it Jharna in Kolkata, we call it Jhorna. But the name is the same, very pretty name.

Sush to Parth: And your name?

Parth: Arjun

Sush: Nobody asked the meaning of Sushmita. Very sad.

Jharna: What's the meaning of Sushmita?

Sush: Sushmita has three meanings. The first is Sush-mita, which means good friend. Then, Sushm-ita, which means soothing and eyes. And the last Su-smita, which means good smile.

Somaya: How is the experience of working with Shah Rukh in films?

Anuradha: How many questions do you have in all? Why don"t you ask another question?

Somaya: Which colour do you like?

Sush: Why don't you guess?

Somaya: The one that you are wearing.

Sush: Very smart.

Jharna: Green

Somaya: Black

Parth: Red

Sush: I like green and red, but black is my favourite colour.

Somaya: Have you ever visited Kashmir?

Sush: That's a very good question. The first time that I was in Kashmir, I was around 9 or 10 years old. I had gone there with my parents, and after that I went some time back.

Somaya: Where did you go?

Sush: We stayed at a Shikara in Dal Lake and besides we went to the Shankaracharya temple because I have loads of beautiful childhood memories of that place.

Somaya: Do you study?

Sush: One has to study throughout one's life. It doesn't stop after school.
