Body of a 12-year-old girl found lying naked in fields, police suspect murder after rape

The naked body of a 12-year-old girl was found lying in a field in a village in Bijnor, police said on Thursday.

The girl had gone out into the fields in search of her brother on Thursday morning in Mundala village. When she did not return after long, relatives began a search and found her body lying in a naked condition with hands and legs tied, police said.

Police suspect it to be a case of murder after rape, and are investigating the matter.
