BMTC bus kills 26-year-old biker

A 26-year-old bike rider was killed after a BMTC bus knocked him down on  Magadi Road on Monday. The deceased, Arun, an employee of a private factory, was a resident of Annapurneshwarinagar near Sunkadakatte. According to the police, the incident took place at 12.45 pm while he was going to the factory on his bike.

A speeding BMTC bus, which was going towards Vaddarahalli from Majestic knocked him down in front of Venkateshwara Textiles and ran over him, killing him on the spot. A case has been registered at Magadi Road traffic police station. Police are on the look out for bus driver.

Cab Kills Man 

A 25-year-old man was killed and his friend sustained injured after a cab hit their bike in Peenya on Sunday. The deceased, Ranjith, a native of Shimoga, was an employee of Cafe Coffee Day near Hebbal. He was a resident of Rukhmininagar near Nagasandra.

According to the police, at 11.45 pm, Ranjith, had gone to pick Rohit from the City Railway Station and while returning,  a speeding cab, which was behind them, hit their bike them and ran over Ranjith’s head. He succumbed on the spot, while Rohith, who sustained severe injuries is being treated at a private hospital. A case has been registered at Peenya traffic police station and the cab driver Prashant has been arrested.
