BANGALORE: Senior BJP leader B B Shivappa said that the party’s old time leaders will undertake a month long “Save BJP campaign” throughout the state starting November 21 to mobilise the original cadre in order to enable them to assert in the party.He rued that the present leadership had completely neglected old timers and seniors who had toiled for the party since the days of Jan Sangh.“The party has lost its original ideological character. Thousands of workers are unhappy at the charges of corruption slapped against leaders. They have been marginalised following a massive influx of new comers in all the districts.”He complimented CM Sadananda Gowda for sticking to his word of restricting the number of Rajyotsava awardees to 50 as well as for being in his behaviour.
