SAMBALPUR: “The common man is the ‘sarathi’ of the ‘Vikash Rath’. Reiterating the BJD’s commitment to rural development, party supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said this during his whirlwind tour of Sambalpur and Jharsuguda on Wednesday.He addressed public meetings at Bisalkhinda under Rengali Assembly segment, Kundaposhi in Kuchinda block and Gobindpur in Bamra block under Kuchinda Assembly segment in Sambalpur and Laikera block in Jharsuguda. Naveen everywhere blasted the Congress and the BJP and said that two parties are here “just to make money”. “BJD relies on the four crore people of the State,” he said.He said that Odisha topped in the implementation of the Forest Rights Act. Underscoring the need to elect right candidates, he promised that the BJD and its candidates would stand by the people. He also elaborated on the welfare schemes launched by the State Government and said that BJD would continue its endeavour for overall development of western Odisha.Naveen was flanked by Sambalpur district BJD president Rohit Pujari and Rajya Sabha members Sushree Pramila Bohidar and Kishore Mohanty.
