THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Government Model Higher Secondary School for Girls, Pattom, has won the best PTA Award for the year 2010-11 in Thiruvananthapuram district. The award was presented at a function organised at SMV HSS, Thiruvananthapuram, on Teacher’s Day by the General Education Department. Youth Affairs Minister P K Jayalakshmi inaugurated the function. School principal N Retna Kumar, headmistress Sheela Rani, PTA president Balachandran Nair, senior assistant Cyril were also present on the occasion.
