Beetel launches Rs 10K Android tablet
The Android based tablet comes with a 7-inch screen, 2 megapixel rear as well as a front camera.

New Delhi: Close on the heels of the launch of the Rs 13,000 Android tablet by Reliance Communications, Beetel Teletech, a Bharti Enterprises group company, announced the launch of its tablet device - Beetel Magiq - priced at Rs 9,999.

The Android based tablet comes with a 7-inch screen (480x800 pixels), 2 megapixel rear as well as a front camera, and 8GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32 GB.

"The Beetel Magiq has been designed looking at the technology needs of the extremely demanding Indian customers." "Our tablet is not only about afford ability but also about aspirational features which were previously available in the high end devices," Beteel Telech Executive Director and CEO Vinod Sawhny told reporters.

The device has 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and is powered by a 1 Ghz processor.

News of the Beetel Android tablet launch was leaked months in advance of its release. The tablet is said to be a re-branded version of the Ideos S7 Android tablet manufactured by China's Huawei Technologies.
