New Delhi: Former Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif called on King Abdullah in Jeddah on Sunday in his first meeting since he was deported from Pakistan on September 10.
The King is reported to have urged Nawaz Sharif to honour his agreement with the Saudi government.
The Saudis also appear to have relaxed the terms of his exile in the country. He was allowed to meet MMA chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman.
The former prime minister was briefed on the plan by the MMA to resign from the national and provincial assemblies the day General Musharraf files his nomination papers for president.
