Attingal Municipality bags award

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy presented the Kerala State Pollution Control Board’s award for solid waste management to the Attingal Municipality on Monday.Chairperson of the Municipality Advocate S Kumari, vice-chairman M Pradeep and other officials received the trophy from the Chief Minister at a function held in Kochi, Kumari said in a statement released here on Monday. This is the sixth time that Attingal Municipality is winning the award for cleanliness and solid waste management, she said. The chairperson attributed the success to the cooperation extended by the people of Attingal, traders, residents’ associations and voluntary organisations.
