Aspiring cop dies during test

JEYPORE: Days after a youth died at the 7th Odisha State Armed Police Battalion in Bhubaneswar during the rigorous physical test for constable recruitment, another aspirant died under similar circumstances at Koraput OSAP Ground on Tuesday.As per reports, Nilo Kumar of Jagatsinghpur was participating in 500- metre running race at the Police Ground when he collapsed. Though local police personnel rushed him to the District Headquarters Hospital at Koraput, he was declared brought dead. Doctors said he could have died due to cardiac arrest, but the exact reason can only be ascertained after postmortem. Investigation is on. As many as 8,000 persons took part in the recruitment drive for 347 constable posts.
