New Delhi: Apart from introducing the 8GB iPhone 5c, Apple has also modified its iPad lineup. The Cupertino giant has replaced the iPad 2, that was launched back in March 2011, with its fourth-generation iPad with Retina display (aka iPad 4).
Apple has ditched its three years old iPad 2 to offer consumers a much better machine at the same price. Like the iPad 2, the iPad with Retina display (iPad 4) is available for $399 for the 16GB version, while the cellular model starts at $529.
It can be said the relaunch of the iPad 4 as Apple last year discontinued the tablet when it announced the arrival of the iPad Air, but kept the iPad 2 as an entry-level option.
The iPad 4 is now available at the same price as the iPad Mini with Retina display. The 16GB WiFi only iPad Mini with Retina display also costs $399. Now, the price is same, it's just a matter of size.
The iPad 4 is again listed on the Apple India website, but their revised prices for the Indian market have not yet been revealed.
