Hyderabad: In a late night exercise, the Andhra Pradesh government on Monday transferred 21 officers of the Indian Administrative Service including some who were not happy with their earlier posting. Some senior IAS officers, who had proceeded on leave protesting their "insignificant" posting in the previous round of transfers on June 15, have been "rehabilitated" in new positions in the fresh round of reshuffle.
IYR Krishna Rao of the 1979 batch, who proceeded on leave following his posting as Principal Secretary, Labour, has now been made Principal Secretary, Agriculture Marketing and Co-operation. It is uncertain if Krishna Rao, who previously served in the coveted post of Executive Officer, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, would take the new post.
State Health Minister DL Ravindra Reddy finally succeeded in getting Principal Secretary in his department, PV Ramesh of 1985 batch, moved out to Youth Services and Sports, with additional charge of the Culture Department as well.

Indian Revenue Service officer Bhupal Reddy has been posted as Project Director, Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas, in the existing vacancy.
