CHENNAI: DMK Salem district secretary Veerapandi S Arumugam on Thursday submitted a report to the party high command claiming that AIADMK men have been shortlisted for the party’s youth wing posts.The report comes at a time when the party high command is trying to sort out the sibling rivalry involving Union Minister M K Alagiri and party treasurer M K Stalin. Alagiri’s supporters had boycotted the recent public meeting addressed by Stalin in Madurai.According to sources, Arumugam, the former DMK minister, had been trying in vain to explain that the party posts should be accorded to the right candidates in consultation with the respective district functionaries. But, to his disappointment, Stalin had been visiting each district and choosing the candidates by himself. Ever since the last DMK general council, where Arumugam drew the ire of Stalin supporters, Arumugam was being sidelined by the DMK treasurer. Arumugam’s report was said to have corroborating evidence to prove that the shortlisted candidates had been attached to the AIADMK.
