Haripriya who is out doing films in different languages tells that she did not disappear from Kannada cinema. “Though I did not have a single Kannada release in 2011, I was busy shooting for Kannada films only. I was working round the clock for 'Khiladi Kitty', 'Sagar', 'Nande' and 'Super Shastry',” says Haripriya, who is upbeat about her three movie releases in different languages. I have quite a few films lined up for this month— 'Khiladi Kitty' in Kannada, 'Thiruvambaby Thamban' in Malayalam and 'Thulli Ezhinthathu Kadhal' in Tamil,” she says.

'Khiladi Kitty' will see Haripriya in a completely new role. “It’s an out and out comedy, a genre first time attempted by me. I was usually caught up with subjects related to love only. However, I did one film that was a political satire. This is the first time, I picked up a project, which made me just laugh, laugh and laugh,” chuckles Haripriya, adding, “My character has different shades like a cop and I will also be seen a cow boy costume. Haripriya is of the opinion that comedy is an act, which needs extra skills. “My role was different from the routine. It is not easy to just laugh while the situation is quite serious,” says the actress, who was happy to work with Kitty. “He makes you feel comfortable and that created a very healthy atmosphere. We bonded quite well while working for 'Khiladi Kitty',” she adds. She is quite content with different roles and she says, “In a way it has helped me to learn more and more about cinema and my versatility has improved to a great extent working in other language films.”

The actress talks about two of her other films releasing in Malayalam and Tamil. “'Thiruvambady Thamban' starring senior actor, Jayaram is a family subject. I had to look traditional for the film and had to wear ethnic outfits like sarees and salwars. We were surrounded by 78 elephants. It was really exciting. In my Tamil film, I played the role of a school and college going girl for which I had to lose a lot of weight. I’m lucky to learn that the industry is considering me as a good artiste and they believe that I can get into the skin of any role,” she says.

On being paired with both young and senior most actors like Jayaram. “I am younger than most of the other heroines. So, I consider all of them as seniors. Secondly, as an artiste, age doesn’t come in between as far as you fit into your character and do complete justice to the role,” she says.

16 films old and Haripriya feels, there is always something new to do in every film. "Whenever I sign a project and start shooting, the first few days I have my doubts on whether or not can I can perform," says Haripriya, whose success mantra is hard work and concentration. “Love your work and that will give you good results,” she signs off.
