HYDERABAD: The state is going to get two new passport centres within six months.One at Karim Nagar and another at Bheemavaram, West Godavari district.While the Karim Nagar office comes under regional passport office, Hyderabad and Bheemavaram passport office will be under Vishakapatnam.Last year, the External Affairs ministry had launched six new passport seva kendras.Three at Hyderabad, one each at Tirupati, Nizamabad and Vijayawada.This was stated by regional passport officer, K Srikar on Monday here.Speaking to mediapersons, Regional Passport Officer, K Srikar Reddy said that they had identified the site for the seventh passport centre at Karim Nagar which will begin functioning in a six months time.The passport officer also informed that they are going to organise a month long adalat from May 1 to 31, for issuing 20,000 passports to the applications submitted in old system.
