The Makar Sankranti season of 2024 is poised for an exciting showdown in the Telugu states, with numerous high-stakes projects gearing up for release. Notable films like Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, Venkatesh Daggubati’s Saindhav, Nagarjuna Akkineni’s Naa Saami Rangamand Ravi Teja’s Eagle are all vying for a January release, capitalising on the auspicious occasion.
Meanwhile, the creators of Eagle unveiled its official teaser on Monday, paving the way for the movie’s highly anticipated release on January 13, 2024. The concise and impactful 94-second promotional video commences with a scene featuring multiple bodies strewn across the ground, complemented by Ravi Teja’s commanding voiceover, issuing a warning, “Do not summon the lava from the volcano; it will obliterate not just this village but your very existence," underscoring his formidable character in the film.
This enigmatic character resides in the heart of dense forests, leaving us with compelling questions: What drives his unwavering pursuit of these individuals, and what lies at the core of his actions? These mysteries are bound to captivate our curiosity as we eagerly anticipate answers.
The teaser offers the promise of an action-packed thriller that keeps us perched on the edge of our seats while shrouding the central plot in secrecy. Ravi Teja’s transformation is truly impressive, and the accompanying score adds an electrifying dimension to the overall experience.
Directed by cinematographer-turned-director Karthik Gattamneni, Eagle features an ensemble cast, including Anupama Parameswaran, Navdeep, Srinivas Avasarala, Madhoo, and Kavya Thapar in pivotal roles. Notably, Gattamneni, in addition to directing, has also assumed the responsibilities of cinematographer and editor for the film. Backed by TG Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibhotla under the People Media Factory banner, the movie’s soundtrack is composed by Davzand, adding to the film’s intrigue.
Ravi Teja’s most recent appearance was in Vamsee’s Tiger Nageswara Rao. Despite being a massive undertaking with a budget of Rs 50 crore, the film performed poorly at the box office. Even after 18 days since its release, it has yet to cross the Rs 50 crore mark.
