Kantara 2 BIG Update: Rishab Shetty's Film To Go On Floors This Month, FIRST Look Soon

When Rishab Shetty’s Kantara was released, it was widely loved by all and ruled the box office too. While fans are eagerly waiting for the prequel of the Hombale Films’ blockbuster movie, it has now been revealed that Kantara 2 is officially titled ‘Kantara Chapter 1’.

On Saturday, Hombale Films shared the grand announcement with a poster and revealed that the first look of the Rishab Shetty starrer will be released on November 27. The makers also shared the film will be a “Pan-World” release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and English.

Kantara Chapter 1 will go on floors with the Muhurat Pooja, which is ready to commence on November 27th. A grand and massive set is being constructed for the film, where actor-director Rishab Shetty, producer Vijay Kiragandur, and the other cast and crew will be present. Following the muhurat pooja, the makers will kick off the principal photography for the film in December, and the rest of the cast will be announced in due time.

Released in September 2022, Kantara starred Rishab Shetty in the lead. He had also written and directed the film. The film gained love from all including celebrities, political dignitaries, cricketers and the audience. The film also earned over Rs 450 crore at the box office.

Talking about Kantara 2 earlier this year, Shetty shared that what the audience was was actually part 2 and therefore what will be released next will be Kantara’s prequel. “We are very pleased and thankful to the audience who had shown immense love and support to Kantara and taking the journey ahead, with the blessing of almighty Daiva the film has successfully completed 100 days and I would like to take this opportunity to announce the prequel of Kantara. What you have seen is actually Part 2, Part 1 will come next year,” he had said.
