How to Transfer Music from iTunes to Android
Transferring music from iTunes to your Android device can be made possible with the use of synchronization apps or by manually transferring files between your computer and your Android. Follow the steps outlined in this article to learn how to transfer music from iTunes over to your Android.
Steps

Manually Transferring Files

Open the iTunes application on your computer.

Highlight the songs you want transferred over to your Android.

Right-click and select “Copy.”

Go to the desktop of your Windows or Mac computer.

Right-click and select “New folder” to create a new temporary folder on your desktop.

Open the folder you created, and right-click anywhere in the folder.

Select “Paste.” The songs you copied from iTunes will now be displayed in the temporary music folder.

Connect your Android to the computer using a USB cable.

Wait for your computer to recognize your Android device.

Open the Android drive or folder when it displays on your desktop, and navigate to the folder labeled “Music.”

Click and drag the music files from the temporary folder you created on your desktop over to the Android Music folder.

Disconnect your Android from the USB cable. The music files you moved from iTunes to your Android will now be available for playback on your Android device.

Syncing Music using doubleTwist

Download and install the doubleTwist application from the developer’s official website at http://www.doubletwist.com/desktop/. The application is available for both Windows and Mac computers.

Launch doubleTwist after it has been installed to your computer.

Wait for your Android to show up in doubleTwist under “Devices.”

Click on “Music” below the “Library” category in the left window pane within the doubleTwist application. The doubleTwist app will display all your songs that currently reside in iTunes.

Select one or more songs you want transferred over to your Android, and drag them to the Android disk under “Devices” in the left window pane. doubleTwist will then sync all the files you selected to your Android device. Disconnect your Android device from the USB cable connected to your computer. The music you transferred from iTunes will now be ready for playback on your Android.

Syncing Music using AirSync

Launch the Google Play Store app on your Android device.

Search the Google Play Store app for the doubleTwist app. You will be required to download doubleTwist to your Android for use with the AirSync add-on.

Select the option to download the doubleTwist app to your Android.

Perform a search in Google Play Store for AirSync. AirSync is an add-on for the doubleTwist app, and is required for wireless transfer of iTunes songs to Android.

Select the option to purchase the AirSync app. The AirSync app generally costs about 5 dollars.

Wait for both the doubleTwist and AirSync apps to finish downloading to your Android device.

Go to the computer that has iTunes installed, and visit the official doubleTwist website at http://www.doubletwist.com/desktop/. The application is available for Windows and Mac computers, and is required for use with the AirSync add-on.

Select the option to download and install doubleTwist to your Windows or Mac computer.

Launch the doubleTwist application after it has finished installing to your computer.

Open the doubleTwist application on your Android device.

Click on the tab labeled “Settings” and select the option to activate “AirSync.”

Tap on “Set up AirSync,” and follow the prompts to configure the app for use with the same wireless connection used by your computer. Your Android will display a unique 5-digit passcode.

Write down the 5-digit passcode. You will need the passcode to sync AirSync with doubleTwist on your computer.

Go back to your computer, and click on the name of your Android device when it displays in the left window pane under “Devices.” A pop-up window will display prompting you to enter the 5-digit passcode.

Type in the 5-digit passcode you had written down earlier into the field provided. Your computer will then pair your Android device with doubleTwist using the AirSync add-on.

Click on “Music” under the “Library” category located in the window pane on the left within doubleTwist. The doubleTwist app will display all your iTunes songs.

Select each song you want moved over to your Android device, then drag them to your Android device within the “Devices” category in the left window pane. doubleTwist will then transfer all the music tracks you selected over to your Android. To transfer all the songs in your iTunes library over to your Android, select “Music” from the General tab and check all the box, then click on the “Sync” button located in the lower right corner of doubleTwist.Transfer Music from iTunes to Android Step 36Bullet1.jpg
