Open Lyft. It's a pink app with the word "Lyft" in white. If you're not automatically logged in, tap Get Started and follow the onscreen prompts to sign in or sign up for an account.
Tap the calendar icon. It's next to the "Where are you going" search bar at the bottom of your screen. It will say the word Now next to it, but tapping the calendar button will allow you to schedule a ride for later.
Set a pickup time and date. You will be prompted to choose a pickup time. The first box is labeled Pickup time and the second is labeled Date. Use each box to set your intended pickup time. Then, tap Next.
Enter your pickup and drop-off location. The Start box will auto-populate with your current location. You can update this to wherever you need and then enter your destination in the Destination box. You must enter a pickup and drop-off location to schedule a Lyft in advance.
Select your ride type. You can schedule a regular Lyft, a Lyft XL, or a Lux ride. The pricing for each option will be located on the right-hand side of the app. Tap on an option and it will gain a light purple highlight.
Tap Schedule Lyft. It's a purple button at the bottom of the screen. A Lyft driver will pick you up at the requested time and place. The wording of this button will change to reflect the ride type (Lyft XL, Lux) you have selected. You can also change your payment method by tapping on it in the bottom-left corner of the menu or change your desired pickup time by tapping the Edit time pencil icon in the bottom-right corner. Tap the calendar icon in the upper-right corner of your screen to view, edit, or cancel your scheduled Lyft. You can edit or cancel a Lyft ride up to one hour before your pickup time. Once the pickup time arrives, Lyft's cancellation policy applies per usual.
